NOCS - Southampton

Brief

Based at the University of Southampton’s Waterfront Campus, the National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS) aimed to upgrade four state-of- the-art teaching laboratories. With more than £2million investment, the upgrade required sophisticated information technology in the largest labs to give every student close-up views of experimental.

Solution

Redline has enjoyed a long, successful relationship with Southampton University so were an easy choice as their audio visual partner for this project. In addition to the monitors and projectors installed, lectures can also be recorded and made available online so students can review them afterwards. The same lectures can also be streamed live to external audiences at other campuses and beyond.

Completed during the summer vacation, up to 150 students can now use the new light and spacious lab with large monitor screens around the room allowing all students perfect views of practical experiments during laboratory classes.
